You might wonder why I changed my blog title to "Beautiful Feet". Anyone who is super close to us knows why. But I'll tell you.
My husband's favorite thing to do is cut grass. He can get a lot of thinking and praying done while he's "working". Seven years ago, while I was pregnant with Maggie, our first baby, Matt was cutting grass. He was praying for Maggie, specifically that she would have Missionary Feet and bring the Good News of Jesus Christ to lots of people, that she would have a passionate love for Christ and share that with as many people as possible. Well, those close to us know that Maggie passed away 5 weeks after she was born (she was born 3 months pre-maturely). But the impact of her life and death shared Jesus Christ with more people than we ever could have imagined. Thousands of people prayed, tons of people told us how their relationship with Jesus Christ had become so much stronger b/c of our faith through her short life and death. People received peace from Maggie's funeral service about tough issues in their own lives, like losing someone they too have loved and lost. Many people drew close to the Lord during her little time on earth, and even after she was gone, including Matt and me. We have such a deeper understanding of who God is and his sovereignty.
"How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news..." Isaiah 52:7
