Camping at Myrtle Beach Part 1

We went to Ocean Lakes Campground at Myrtle Beach, SC. It was awesome, but it was so HOT. The heat index was 105 one day. It was smoldering in our tent, so we cheated...we went to Wal-Mart and bought an air-conditioner. The guys beside us had one sticking out of their tent too, and we found out that one of them was a heating and air guy, so he told Matt all he needed to do. It was lovely!! Still, though, between 2:30 and 4:00 it was HOT in the tent, but we slept better at night with the air. I would have been home day 3 if we had not gotten one...and we stayed 8 days! See the air conditioner sticking out?
Our neat little set up.
Clothes line! Much needed!
At night, sitting beside the little road watching golf carts and all the young school kids who come to the beach to fall in love. (hahaha)
This was packing up day...our last day. It rained the night before, so we moved the canopy on top of our tent because, yes, it leaked!!

Early Father's Day

Matt was born in Maine and he lived near his Grammy and Grampy there. His Grampy's favorite drink was Moxie and Matt loved it also when he was young. But Moxie is a drink that's only sold in Maine. Many times he has mentioned wishing he could have Moxie again. So for this Father's Day I ordered from a lady on e-bay who lives in Maine and sells things that are only sold in Maine! I was so excited to find Moxie for Matt!! I bought him 24 cans! He was elated!! Drink up, my love!!

Do-A-Dots are fun. Here, Brett is dotting his name!
Cutting straws again.
These are their Activities on the wall. I made pictures of their activities, cut them out, and glued them onto a ribbon and hung it on the wall. They take their clothespin and put it on which activity they are going to. When they are done, they clean that activity up and move on to another one.
ABC Cover-Up...I say, "Find and cover the letter ___" and that helps them identify the letters.
This is getting fun!!

New School Activities

This is Fine Motor Skills for Brett...cutting straws however long or short he wants to. He can also feel of them in the box after cutting. He could do this all day I think.

This one is good. I like it. Very fun way to teach addition and subtraction.

Matching colors. This is obviously more for Brett, but Ty was demonstrating while Brett was still in the floor cutting straws!

This is a fun way to get Ty to learn Sight Words. He hates sitting, so this way he can be active and learn at the same time!

Magnetic Letters...another way to get Ty to learn sight words or any words for that matter, lol!
So these are a FEW of the new things we are doing along with school.
Home's Cool!!

Just One of Those Months

Wow...I just realized I haven't blogged in a while.  Sorry about that.

I love reading other people's blogs, especially when they are funny and inspiring.  If they are funny and inspiring all in one blog, it's really great.  Some blogs, people are just funny.  Others are just inspiring.  So when a blog is both, I love it.  But I hate it.  I always compare myself.  I hate doing that.  But I end up wishing I were funnier or more inspiring, or for that matter, wishing I were more inspired to do something amazing.  Blah!  Why do I do that?  Do you do that?  Are you like that?  I think it's in most women to do that.  Compare yourself.  Do you?

There's a lot of things I'd like to do better...be a better mother, which in my mind is giving them a little more freedom, me lightening up a little, be more creative, read the Bible with them more, read books to them more, have more structure, more fun, more laughter.
Be a better wife...be a better listener, better lover (well it's true), enjoy doing outside things more with him, having more fun with him.
Be a better friend...write encouraging notes more, call more, visit more, go out together more, show love more, pray with more.
Be a better daughter...don't roll my eyes when I disagree or think something is stupid, be more compassionate, be more attentive to their needs, show more love and respect.  Show honor.
Be a better pastor's wife for our church...I could write a book on this one.

Failures failures failures...Satan tries to attack me with this.  It works most times.  Am I abnormal, or is there anyone else out there who struggles with these things?

Thanks for letting this post be a little different.  Just one of those days (months really).

A Desire, But An Impossibility

Exodus 32:32 says, "But now, please forgive their sin-but if not, then blot me out of the book you have written."  This is Moses desiring to see the Israelites forgiven/saved....SO MUCH THAT he says that if God wouldn't forgive them, he asked that God would take His hand from Moses also.  He loved the Israelites so much, to the point of ultimate death.  This was so convicting for me, because there are so many people around us all who are dying and going to Hell.  It happened two weeks ago to someone I know.  He died without Christ.  It is heart-wrenching!  But do I love these people so much to say that if God wouldn't forgive them, then don't forgive me??
Now...another side to this is that this could not happen b/c of God's character.  Romans 8:38-39 says, "For I am covinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."  Nothing at all, not even Moses' desire, can separate him or us from God's love.  That is amazing to know.  He is very gracious with us.
But think about, look around, see all the "dead" people walking around you.  How much do you love them?  Is it okay with you that they are dying and heading to an eternity without Christ?  Is it something that just makes us sad, or does it devistate us?  Is it passionately moving us to action?  Don't just be sad to know there are people going to Hell.  Take action.  Love them.  Share Christ passionately.
